Stuart Davis specialises in modern Peninsular and Spanish-American literature and culture, and has published articles and book chapters on literary canon formation, Juan Goytisolo, Jorge Luis Borges and the 'Generación X'. He is particularly interested in museum and memory studies, canon theory, metacriticism and gender and sexuality studies. He is co-editor of Reading Iberia: Theory/History/Identity (Peter Lang, 2007) and the author of Writing and Heritage in Contemporary Spain: The Imaginary Museum of Literature (Tamesis, 2012). His current research engages with memory studies and is exploring shame and other emotions in literary and filmic contexts.
