Lluïsa Astruc supervises Spanish Linguistics and in 2011-12 will give substitute lectures in place of Dr Sitaridou. Lluïsa's main interests are phonetics and phonology, and first and second language acquisition (see
www.astruc.info/ for more details). She
is currently investigating how Spanish, Catalan and English children acquire the rhythm and the intonation of their native language (see
the APriL project,
http://april-project.info).
