She is currently preparing a monograph based on her doctoral research, which examines the use of medieval Castilian and French comic tales within didactic contexts (in texts such as Calila e Dimna, Sendebar, Conde Lucanor, Arcipreste de Talavera, Libro de Buen Amor, Disciplina clericalis and the Old French fabliaux). She is also interested in the representation of women and the use of animals for humorous purposes in medieval texts; psychoanalysis; gender studies; and theories of humour and meaning.
