This Section A topic brings together writing by both men
and women on dictatorship, including Gabriel García Márquez, Augusto
Roa Bastos, Luisa Valenzuela, Cristina Peri Rossi, Alejo Carpentier, and
Mario Vargas Llosa. While it provides a good
extension of the cognate SP5 topic on
dictatorship, the texts are different and it is perfectly possible
to study it independently.
