Language Papers in Part II
See also: Language Work in Part IIn addition to their scheduled papers, all candidates for the MML Part II Tripos must take these three examinations, designed to test knowledge of the languages corresponding to the scheduled papers. The Text and Culture paper and the Translation paper need not be offered in the same language, though most candidates are likely to opt to do so. The Oral examination must be in one of the languages offered in those two written papers.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MML PII LANGUAGE PAPERS HAVE BEEN REVISED WITH EFFECT FROM 2012-13. INSTEAD OF THE FORMER C1 PAPER (TRANSLATION FROM AND INTO THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE) AND C2 PAPER (ESSAY IN THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE), THESE WILL BE THE PART II PAPERS AVAILABLE FROM TRIPOS 2013:
