Servers

We develop and maintain the servers that support the work of the Faculty. In collaboration with the Computing Service we also maintain the supporting network infrastructure. Services provided include file, Web, database, data storage and backup, together with teaching and research resources.

Applications for new accounts can be submitted via the relevant Departmental Office, requests for increased quotas for existing accounts, or reports of problems, can be submitted directly to the Help Desk in the usual way.

NB. Hermes email, Public Workstation Facility (PWF) and Raven accounts are managed centrally by the Computing Service, though we can process applications for resources on your behalf subject to authorisation from your Department Office. We can also reset your PWF password for you - though if you're not already known to us you will have to bring along your University Card as proof of identity.
