Using a Laptop

If you want to use your own computer with the data projector, you will need to connect it up to the Auto-switch device. The images below show a typical setup:

• Connect the video cable's adapter (labelled "video connection to Laptop" in Fig. 1) on to the video input of your computer. Your laptop may require that you activate the external input (typically with a Function Key)
• If you require audio, connect the audio cable (labelled 'Audio Connector' in Fig. 1) to your own machine's audio input.
• As a courtesy to your colleagues, please make sure that you leave the cables connected as shown in Fig. 1 before you leave.

Disclaimer: Some more esoteric laptops can be troublesome and whilst we will do what we can to help you, if it's a machine we are unfamiliar with, we can't guarantee to be able to make it work.
