Liana Giannakopoulou completed her doctoral thesis at King's College London in 2000. She has taught Modern Greek Literature at King's College London and Cambridge University. Her research interests focus around the relationship between Visual Arts and Literature, the poetry of Yiannis Ritsos and the influence of Lucretius on modern Greek writers (especially Theotokis).
