Cambridge in Athens: Οι Νεοελληνικές Σπουδές στο Cambridge, Παρελθόν, Παρόν και Μέλλον
An illustrated book, containing the speeches given at a special event at the Academy of Athens in July 2009, has been published by Periplous Editions. The book is prefaced by Dr Nicholas White, Chairman of the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages, and includes contributions by current Cambridge academics and distinguished former students, with an introductory address by the President of the Academy of Athens, Professor Panos Ligomenidis. The book is intended to increase awareness of the activities of the Modern Greek Section, at a time when the Faculty is working closely with the University Development Office in order to ensure that Modern Greek studies will continue to flourish at Cambridge.
