Translation into Modern Greek (2 hours) and Modern Greek through audio-visual media (1½ hours)
This paper is suspended from October 2011
This 'paper' consists of two different linguistic exercises, which will be taken on separate occasions:- Two passages, totalling not more than 400 words, will be set for translation into Modern Greek.
- Candidates will be shown a short video extract, lasting between five and ten minutes (during which they will be allowed to make notes); after an interval the extract will be shown again and candidates will be required to answer questions on the material presented and to write discursively. The questions will be posed, and the answers must be written, in Greek.
