For the translation element of this paper, three passages of Greek will be set, and candidates
will be required to translate two of them. The examination will last two hours.
The oral examination will be held at the beginning of the Easter Term. It will consist of
reading aloud from a passage chosen by the examiners and discussion of the subject-matter of the
passage. Candidates will have fifteen minutes to prepare the passage before their examination.
The Oral is weighted as one-third of a paper; translation counts as two-thirds of a paper.
