Annemarie Künzl-Snodgrass was DAAD-Lektorin for German Language and Literature at King's College London (1981-84) before moving to Cambridge. She is now a Senior Language Teaching Officer at the Department of German and Dutch, and Fellow and Director of Studies for MML at Jesus College. Apart from teaching the German language at all levels, her work also involves lectures on Landeskunde topics. Her special interests are the teaching of ab initio German and of advanced translation, and the development of online language learning materials. From 2006-09 she was Chair of the Faculty's Aspiration Committee which is responsible for the Multikultur@ website. She is co-author of an interactive CD-ROM, Video Plus German (Arnold 2003). Together with her colleague Silke Mentchen she has published a revision guide to German grammar, Upgrade your German (Arnold 2003), and developed an online German grammar programme, Just-in-time grammar. This is going into its second phase of development in 2012/13. She has developed assessment materials for UCLES and online units (AS and A2) for Villiers Park Educational Trust (see: here). She has co-translated from German into English two books and several articles in the field of Classical Studies, all for CUP.
