Paper GE C1
Translation from and into German
The examination for this paper consists of two passages, one for translation into the foreign language and one for translation out of it. The passages are slightly longer than those set in Part I and they are both linguistically and intellectually more demanding. From October 2012, the passages will be slightly shorter (about 250 words each) than in the past . Past papers are available on CamTools, but please be aware that these all feature passages of the old lengths. Language classes are provided to prepare you for the Composition and Translation paper. You must register for one of these classes at the start of the Michaelmas Term.For a specimen of the new paper please click here.
