Miranda Gill's research focuses on the relationship between literary culture, thought, and psychology broadly construed. She is the author ofEccentricity and the Cultural Imagination in Nineteenth-Century Paris (OUP, 2009). She has worked on paranoia and the hermeneutics of suspicion in nineteenth-century France, and her current project is concerned with imagining agency and self-control in modern culture.
