Thierry Poibeau is the head of LATTICE, a joint research lab funded by CNRS, Ecole Normale Supérieure and University Paris 3. Since 2007, he has also been collaborating with the University of Cambridge. He has been an Affiliated Lecturer within the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics (DTAL) since 2009. He is currently involved in the European FP7 project PANACEA. He mainly works on Natural Language Processing (NLP), especially on the following topics: Information Extraction, Question Answering, Semantic Zoning, Knowledge Acquisition from text and Named Entity tagging. Apart from NLP, his main interests include Language Acquisition, Cognitive Science, Epistemology and the History of Linguistics.
