Jane Walsh is Coordinator for the Cambridge Language Sciences Initiative, one of a number of university-wide strategic initiatives with the aim of promoting cross-disciplinary collaboration. Although based in DTAL, she works with researchers in the language sciences from all Humanities disciplines, as well as those in engineering, computer science, and biomedical and social sciences. The initiative also encompasses researchers in affiliated institutes such as the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit and Cambridge Assessment. Jane has a degree in Modern Languages (French and Italian) and a background in English Language Teaching, lexicography and ELT publishing. Prior to this post she was Commissioning Editor for Applied Linguistics at Cambridge University Press.
