Using Video Plus: Navigation

Finding your way round the program is designed to be straightforward, and after taking time to learn how to do things the first time you use it, its operation should quickly become second nature to you.

Most of the operating buttons are along the foot of the program window.

On the left are three buttons which allow you to quit the program, go back to the Main Menu on the first page, and call up the help facility.

In the middle there are buttons which let you check answers, restart an exercise, reveal answers (if all else fails), and turn the subtitles and glossary information on or off. These buttons aren't necessarily there for every exercise. Some exercises correct your answers as you type, for example, so in those cases no 'answers' button is required.

On the right are buttons which let you move from one exercise to another. You can follow the set path by using the arrow keys forward and back, or jump to any exercise you like using the exercise numbers. These are present throughout the package.

If at any time you're not sure what a particular button does, hold the mouse over it, and its name or function will be displayed. You can also consult the help facility, which explains everything in more detail, and shows you where certain buttons are on screen.
