Introduction

Rabelais's fictional chronicles about giants include various works, such as 'Gargantua' and this book, the 'Quart livre'. This passage is from a farcical episode in which Panurge meets a merchant who tries to sell his sheep by providing lavish praise of them.

Some Instructions
